Dips
Dips are one of the most important pushing movements in calisthenics.
Dips are a compound upper-body exercise performed on parallel bars. From a locked-out support position, you lower your body by bending the elbows until your shoulders drop below your elbows, then press back up to full arm extension. Dips primarily train the chest and triceps, while also challenging shoulder stability and core control.
There’s a short video demonstrating this exercise on this page. For more resources to help your calisthenics journey, check out courses here.
